Reid Harper at Pro Automotive & Marine is the best marine mechanic I've ever met. He's never steered me wrong - always assesses any issues before making his recommendations as far as what needs to be done. Never pushy... just honest good work on boats, jetskis, etc. I've seen his work on other customers boats and he is THE MAN when it comes to supin' up boats.
I've had two of my boats worked on for different things, one was a renovation if you will. Reid has always communicated well with me and let me know the status of my project, always a what I would consider a fair price and I've never had to have the problem fixed twice.
Its good to see that Hard working down to earth guys are still around!
Please do yourself a favor, save your family some time and money especially if you want to enjoy your summer with a working watercraft! He has no clue what he is doing, and very unprofessional. We took our Jet Ski to get worked on back on May 18th. He told us he would have a estimate for us in a couple of days... so we waited. A week went by and no word from him. After us having to call multiple times into the second week to figure out if he had a chance to look at it yet and get a estimate for us, he kept saying "I'll call you back at the end of the day with a estimate." By the way he wouldn't call us he would only communicate through text message. So we patiently waited and would still never hear back from him. Then another week went by and still no word. By the end of the third week he finally gave us a ridiculous estimate but we just wanted our Jet Ski working correctly and back since he had already had it for almost a month. We agreed on the price he told us (even though it was absolutely ridiculous) he told us it would be ready by Friday (July 16th) Great! The whole family was so excited to get it back! July 16th came we were on our way to go get it when he texts not calls us and to tells us that "Ops he ordered the wrong part on accident and he need some more time and would keep us posted." Did we ever hear back from him? No! Into the next week (going on 5 weeks!) he finally texts us saying that now it's going to cost double what the first price that he sent us! We finally had it and told him no that we neeed to just come pick up our Jet Ski that this is ridiculous . He then tells us that he is out of town until Thursday and that is when we can come get it. So then today comes (Thursday July 22nd) his web page says he closes at 7pm on Thursdays but he tells my husband at 4 that he already left for the day and that he left our Jet Ski sitting in front of the building! Wow! Just wow! Very unprofessional. I never write reviews but I am so upset and disappointed with this whole ordeal. I want to save another family from going through all the hassle we did. Also I wanted to add how he posted pictures of our Jet Ski all over his Facebook... just very unprofessional.
Reid went above and beyond with our mastercraft. He is super knowledgeable and let's you know what he's doing every step of the way. I am positive he saved us thousands of dollars had we gone to an official boat place.
